SUNDAYS

Family Worship 10.30am

Morning worship begins at 10.30am although we lead into the service with worship songs from around 10.20am to join with informally. The Junction is open for prayer from 9.45am for anyone wishing to pray privately or to share with others. Worship is led either by one of our Circuit Ministers or local lay preachers and lasts for approx. 1 hour. On the 1st Sunday of the month the Hedon Worship Group lead an informal service and Café Church, with drinks and refreshments available.

Evening Worship – Monthly at 6:30pm

A quieter and more intimate service takes place each month at 6.30pm either in the church or The Junction with time for reflection and music. We also host praise and circuit services and occasional concerts – please check the events and diary page for more details.

Children and Families

Children’s activities are available at all services with a family area within the church and a children’s group every Sunday during Morning Worship. We also run a regular Messy Church and other activities for children and teenagers.

Holderness Grange

We hold a monthly service within the Dance Studio at Holderness Grange Retirement Village at 2.30pm on the 3rd Sunday of each month.

CHURCH GROUPS

Music, Worship and Singing

An adult singing group meets on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 7:30pm & work with our worship group to lead services regularly.

Family Film Nights

On the 4th Thursday in the month we host a Community Film Night in the Hall at 7.15pm with The Junction opening at 6.30pm for refreshments. These are free of charge but donations are welcome. Check the church diary and events page for more information.

Coffee Mornings

On the first Saturday of every month from 10am until 11.30 am you can join us for coffee, cake, a raffle and a chat in a friendly community environment.

YOUTH CLUB

We are proud of the youth work we offer at Hedon Methodist Church and run a weekly youth club for young people aged 8 years upwards every Monday evening at 7.30pm. With games, crafts, outdoor visits and an annual activity weekend away this is a great place to meet other young people in a friendly Christian environment. Messy Church

Messy Church is a fun and lively time for all ages but particularly for younger children and parents. We enjoy crafts, music, stories and sharing food together and meet every quarter on a Saturday morning from 10am to 12pm.

Alpha

Alpha courses are run to introduce new people to the Christian faith and enable them to make their own decisions. We hold courses for both teenagers and adults. Contact us for information on when the next course will run.

60 Minutes Bible Study

A weekly bible study class that meets in The Junction at 2pm for 60 minutes and follows the lectionary bible passages giving the opportunity to discuss, reflect and explore the bible in more detail and share thoughts and prayer.

BAPTISM'S, FUNERALS & WEDDINGS

We welcome the local community to Hedon Methodist Church for many occasions including regular Baptism’s, Funeral’s and Wedding’s. If you would like to hold a Baptism or Wedding please feel free to contact us for an informal discussion with our Minister or one of our church leadership team. For funerals, please contact our Minister or leadership team. Our church can accommodate 100 people seated comfortably and has multi media projection/screen and a sound system in microphone installed. We can also link to our hall via video link to accommodate larger numbers. Catering can also be arranged on our premises. EXTERNAL GROUPS

External Groups

Our excellent premises are home to a wide range of community clubs and groups which complement our church led activities. These include Guides, Brownies and Rainbows, Hedon WI, Hedon Hand bell Ringers, Majorettes, painting group and craft club as well as being available for private bookings occasionally.
